Merchandise for Citipointe Worship
Creative Brief
Client: Citipointe Worship
Project: ‘Behold’ Album Merchandise Design
Objective: Citipointe Worship requested merchandise to accompany the release of their ‘Behold’ album. The design needed to visually tie in with the album’s aesthetic, featuring soft cream tones and typography that mirrored the cover art, while also being subtle, gender-neutral, and wearable for a wide audience.
Challenge
The challenge was to create merch that felt meaningful and minimal. The word “Behold” carries deep spiritual weight, yet the design called for restraint; to capture the irony and beauty of something powerful presented in a quiet, understated way. It needed to be fashionable without losing its message.
Solution
Design Language: Typography was carefully selected to echo the album cover: a soft, serif font with elegant spacing to create a calm, contemplative mood.
Subtle Message: The word “Behold” was intentionally kept small in the design, playing into the concept that what’s truly worth beholding doesn’t need to shout. Its placement invites the viewer to lean in and notice.
Colour Palette: A monochromatic cream scheme was used across garments to reflect the album artwork, creating cohesion between music and merch.
Unisex Wearability: The garments were designed with neutral cuts and tones, ensuring the pieces felt inclusive and wearable by all genders.
